Read-alouds- Goodnight moon teaches kids how to rhyme words and it could also be used to get the kids to interact. When the pages are black and white the kids can say “goodnight moon” very quietly. When the pages are in color hey could say it a little louder. This could also be used in the class room, when the teacher holds up a black and white sign then the students should be quiet, and when they hold up a color sign the children can talk to all their friends.

Hokey Pokey teaches kids they’re lefts and rights and also their body parts. It’s a good way to get the kids excited about learning.

The elephant child would help the children learn that no matter what people say it’s not a bad thing to ask questions. Question’s are how you learn and grow.

Learning Experiences– We talked about ourselves a lot this week. I learned so many things about my fellow classmates. I noticed a pattern, around ages 6-12 we were all very awkward looking. I think that if when we become teachers we should learn to encourage this age group on their looks. The little girls need to know that they are pretty and the little boys need to know that they are handsome.

During this part of all Republican’s lives, they must choose who they want to run against Obama. During this decision-making process, all american citizens should think about how and who will affect our education program. Ron Paul says that the decisions about education should be made my the state and they parents in that state. This means that parents would be making the choices about how schools would spend their money in order to benefit the children.

Quote of the Week-“Good teachers are those who know how little they know. Bad teachers are those who think they know more than they don’t know.”

This quote is kind of confusing when you read it the first time. I think what it is trying to say is that the best teacher’s are they ones who don’t try to say they know everything. There is no way that one set person can know everything there is to know. Students will respect a teacher more if the teacher is honest about this factor.

Observations: I spend a lot of time with our special ed class at our school, I love going in and working with those kids. It never ceases to amaze me how smart those kids are. There is a girl in there, her name is Kristina. We were teaching them how to bake something, she knew almost immediately that if you had 1/4 of a cup, and you needed a whole cup that you would need 4 of them. She said it quicker than I could even think it. I hate that they don’t get the acknowlodgment that they deserve for being so  smart.

Reflection: This week i have been thinking about school alot. I always thought that i wanted to go to Winthrop, but this week i have been thinking about it more and more. I think i want to move out of state. I want to start new. I want to go to a new place and meet new people and learn new things. I feel like that would be a really good experience for me.
